Saturday, March 21st from 10 am - 1 pm
This is the first of our Seasonal Education Series created to increase your knowledge of wine grapes with practical hands-on experience and valuable information from David and Heather Lucas. Start the day by adopting your very own 82 year old ZinStar vine and learn how to prune in the old world style with our modern tools. You will proudly foster your vine on its path to produce world class Zinfandel grapes. In addition, your name will be on your vine all year so you can identify which one is yours and visit your vine whenever you return to The Lucas Winery. Your friends will certainly be impressed with your willingness to adopt an 80 year old!
We are also working to schedule someone from the U.C. Davis Raptor Rescue Center to offer an up close and personal insight into the life of a raptor and their importance to our environment. It was a "hoot" last year.
Please wear appropriate clothing including a hat (we suggest layers), since you will be spending some time in the vineyard. A delicious bento box lunch from Yume Restaurant is included, so please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions.
We do try to keep attendance to around 20 people to preserve the intimacy of the learning experience so act today. This event is $40 per person inclusive. Click here to purchase your tickets, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or call us at 209-368-2006.
