This 100% Petite Sirah hails from the Rhone Valley in France by way of a vineyard less than a mile away from us in Lodi, CA. This varietal is also known as Durif, after the French doctor who first propagated the cultivar in the 1880's.

Petite Sirah is not a small berry Syrah as is sometime thought. But it is related and produces dark, inky wines with lots of tannins, inherent bold favors, and is very long lived. So, it is no wonder that this nearly 10 year old Petite Sirah is still a great choice for your special occasion or dinner.
